Championing Sustainability: Gold Green Tourism Award for Tyddyn Isaf
We’re delighted to share that Tyddyn Isaf has achieved the prestigious Gold award from Green Tourism for our outstanding commitment to sustainable practices!
The Green Tourism awards recognises and celebrates businesses that prioritise environmental responsibility and community engagement. The awards showcase the efforts of those that go above and beyond in reducing their carbon footprint, conserving natural resources, and promoting cultural awareness.
Tyddyn Isaf underwent a comprehensive evaluation by Green Tourism, which assessed us based on a sustainability criteria of People, Places, and Planet pillars. These criteria included evaluation of the social, economic, and environmental initiatives that are currently undertaken by Tyddyn Isaf.
At the heart of Tyddyn Isaf’s ethos is our commitment to sustainability, and we do our utmost to integrate energy conservation methods into every aspect of our parks activities wherever possible, to help safeguard the natural environment, reduce our carbon footprint, and enhance the experience of our guests.
We have implemented significant strategies through energy efficiency and renewable sources, waste reduction and recycling, preservation of natural habitats, educational initiatives, and community engagement and support.
Last year, we partnered with Green Digital Academy and Grwp Llandrillo Menai to assess our progress towards attaining a net-zero status. Our aim is to reach this significant and vital goal by 2030!
Tyddyn Isaf Caravan park, have done an excellent job of achieving a Gold Green Tourism Award. They have a great sustainability section on their website which explains their efforts to be a more sustainable business to their guests, and caravan owners, and encourages them to participate.
Their genuine pleasure in running and promoting a sustainable caravan park business in the area where they operate is evident throughout the assessment […]. Having managed a holiday park for eleven years, I know how difficult it can be to operate sustainably, but the team at Tyddyn Isaf, have shown that it is not only possible but have excelled at doing so.
