Loo of The Year Award: Eco UK & National Winner!

We are proud to announce that Tyddyn Isaf Camping and Caravan Park has been awarded Eco-Friendly Toilet of the Year by Loo of The Year Awards!

Our sustainable friendly amenities were assessed on their energy efficiency, integration of renewable technologies, water preservation initiatives, and utilisation of environmentally friendly materials within our amenity blocks.

We’re thrilled to also share that we’ve been awarded both the prestigious Platinum Plus Loo of The Year and the Washroom Technician of the Year accolades!

Striving towards achieving net-zero status for our camping and caravan park, we’ve implemented significant measures to reduce our carbon footprint. Within our amenity blocks, various energy-saving systems are in place, such as motion controlled internal LED lighting, dark skies friendly dawn-to-dusk external lighting, low-flow water fixtures, and efficient heating/cooling systems e.g. solar powered underfloor heating.

In an effort to conserve water, we’ve also adopted multiple strategies including the installation of low-flow shower heads, water-efficient cisterns, and key-fob activated showers.

Furthermore, in line with our green procurement policy, we also use ISO 14001 certified toilet tissue, and are committed to using eco-friendly cleaning products from the Evans Green Tick Range.

Our amenities were assessed against 101 judging criteria – including our signage and décor, fixtures and fittings and overall standards of cleanliness and management.

As an award-winning camping and caravan park, we believe that it is our responsibility to act as good stewards of the environment and to promote sustainable practices and behaviours. We are so proud to be recognised for our unwavering commitment to delivering high-standard and sustainable amenities to all our guests.
