Tyddyn Isaf’s Annual Bird Sightings List for 2023

Tyddyn Isaf Camping and Caravan Park is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a designation that highlights the area’s significant conservation value. This recognition ensures the protection of its natural landscape and habitats.

The mature Wendy Wood woodland and the natural hedgerows surrounding Tyddyn Isaf serve as habitats for a diverse range of birds, providing guests the opportunity to observe various species during their stay. As we are a campsite by the beach, you may also spot some fascinating seabirds that you may not witness within suburban areas.

Every year we keep a record of all the birds that have been sighted, and the time of the year we see them by our visitors and members of staff. By doing this, we can identify the returning species and the most common. It can also help us identify any environmental/habitat changes for the visiting birds.

We recorded 51 species of birds in 2023!

If you have spotted a species of bird during your stay with us that hasn’t been listed below – please let us know!
