RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat Fundraising Event!
On Saturday 20th August, we held Tyddyn Isaf’s very first Vintage Tractor fundraising event and you helped us raise….
£1091.74 for RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat!
Your contributions will help towards the saving of lives as donations provide the crew with lifesaving equipment and training that allows them to continue to save lives at sea.
As we are a caravan and camping park on Anglesey, North Wales, we are surrounded by beaches including Lligwy Bay, Traeth yr Ora, Moelfre beach, Benllech beach, and Red Wharf Bay – We are therefore extremely grateful to have the local lifeboat crew on hand if the unexpected happens out at sea.
Thank you so much to all who came out to support the local Moelfre lifeboat crew and helped make this event a success. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing you all take part in the traditional fun-fair games, and we hope you all enjoyed taking a trip on the Land Train around the caravan park and seeing all the vintage cars and tractors that have become quite a rare sight.
We also want to say an extra special thank-you to residents Iona and Jen for bringing their artistic skills to the table and raising funds through face painting, and to the young girls who made beautiful handmade bracelets for purchase and donated 50% of the proceeds to the RNLI.
The local RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat have been extremely busy this summer responding to reports of people being in difficulty out on Lligwy Bay. We would like to extend our gratitude for their bravery and their lifesaving service and for coming to the event to raise awareness of sea safety.
RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat are active on Facebook and regularly post information about their callouts. Please follow their page to show your support.
We hope you all enjoyed the fundraising event and we hope to do it again in the near future to continue to support local charities.
Credit to Hoots Môn and Sally J. Roberts for the wonderful snapshots of the day.
