Serving you 5-star food in a relaxed and comfortable location...
We strive for perfection in everything we do at Tyddyn Isaf and our food is no exception. Our bar and terrace restaurant is purely for the use of guests of Tyddyn Isaf Caravan Park. Our wish is to serve you the highest quality, freshly prepared, home-made food in a non-pretentious relaxed environment. We know that you are on holiday so we don’t expect you to wear your finery – as far as we are concerned wellingtons are a camping essential!
“Hen Ysgabor Terrace Restaurant”
The literal translation of Hen Ysgabor is “The Old Barn”, and that’s exactly what our main building used to be many years ago. Since then is has been radically transformed into a warm and inviting area for our guests to relax whilst enjoying outstanding views. During the day guests are welcome to enjoy our freshly ground 100% Arabica coffee whilst making use of the free wi-fi internet, and at night why not join us for a delicious meal, or even just a quiet drink. The great thing about Tyddyn Isaf is our flexibility.
Over the years tastes change and styles evolve. 30 years ago, when we first served food in Hen Ysgabor, pizzas were all we prepared. We then progressed and for many years served typical pub grub. In recent years we have developed our menu significantly further. We believe that we now serve restaurant standard food, but in an environment where guests can feel at home whilst taking time to savour the distinct flavours of our home-made food.
We serve a wide range of different foods so hopefully there should be something for all the family to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a sit-down three course meal, or just a starter or a portion of chips to accompany your barbeque we are certain that we’ll have what you’re looking for. We’ll even plate up meals for you to take-away if you’d prefer to eat in your accommodation.
We always use fresh ingredients, and where possible source as much as we can locally. Our reputation precedes us, and we tend to get very busy during high season – Please ensure that you reserve a table if you are thinking of dining with us! Unfortunately we are unable to cater for large groups unless discussed prior to arrival.
Here’s a selection of some of our favourite dishes to whet your appetite:
Stone Baked Pizzas
In keeping with Tyddyn Isaf tradition, we continue to serve fantastic pizzas. We make fresh pizza dough daily, which we then hand-stretch to form a pizza base, before lavishing it with home-made tomato sauce and a sumptuous selection of toppings.
Steak and Ale Pie
Local welsh beef, traditional ale, and a good splash of red wine form the basis of this hearty dish which cooks slowly over 7 hours to become a rich and tender taste experience.
Home made Curries
We follow traditional Indian recipes to create a range of authentic spicy curries
A rich blend of garlic, cream and white wine combined with prawns and smoked salmon folded with freshly made pasta and parmesan cheese. A taste sensation that makes you go…mmmmm!
Welsh Fillet Steak
Locally sourced fillet of Welsh Beef slightly seasoned and pan seared to give the ultimate succulent steak that is accompanied with mushrooms and chunky gourmet chips.
"This is now our 10th year at Tyddyn Isaf and as regulars we especially enjoy the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the family run bar and restaurant with its fantastic views overlooking the the bay. The food is excellent and there is a very good selection of wines, beers, coffees etc. I highly recommend their delicious homemade cheesecake."

Our bar is open from 11am until 11pm in high season. We have a closed license so rest assured the only people enjoying drinks will be like-minded holiday makers like yourselves. We are not a rowdy entertainments venue, just a sophisticated area to enjoy a quiet drink with family and friends.
Seating is available inside and outside, so why not join us to soak up some of the evening sunshine and recount your tales of the day over a chilled glass of wine.
We serve a range of local ales from the ‘Great Orme Brewery’, as well as traditional draught lagers, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Most importantly, remember that we are not a pub or an entertainments venue. Our noise policy is very much enforced in the area around the bar and terrace restaurant. We ask guests to remember that we are a family friendly park, and as such there may be children sleeping. If you are looking for a location that you can drink and be raucous until late, then unfortunately Tyddyn Isaf is not the right place for you. Inappropriate language and behaviour is not tolerated under any circumstances.
Please be aware that the shop, bar and restaurant may have restricted opening hours in mid season, and will be closed in low season.
